Public Education Chairperson: Bill Vallow
The core believe of a fire public educator is to teach people how to prevent or survive a fire. Departments within MABAS 24 host events that provide residents and businesses with the information and strategies they need to prevent fires and save lives. Activities of fire public educators include school visits, yearly open houses, fire extinguisher classes, child safety seat installations and checks, and information distribution at community events. One of the major programs of this committee is the distribution and installation of smoke detectors in neighborhoods, which recently have experienced a house fire.
